Dr. Sergio Ruggieri is an Assistant Professor in Structural Engineering at Polytechnic University of Bari, DICATECH Department.

His research activities deal with the topics of risk and vulnerability assessment of existing structures and infrastructures under natural actions, such as earthquakes.

He is author of about 40 peer-review journal papers and international conference papers, in which he proposed new applications and tools by integrating structural modelling and probabilistic concepts and by exploiting traditional and innovative analysis techniques.
